Buyer questions
WG-008 — frequently asked questions
What does the reinforced palm on WG-008 add?
A second leather layer over the palm — the zone that wears first when gloves double as handling gloves for plate, pipe and rough stock. It is intended to extend service life in palm-heavy work, but actual wear life depends on your materials and tasks, so trial a sample batch against your own work before standardising.
What work is WG-008 suited for?
Welding jobs that involve substantial material handling — moving cut plate, dressing welds, positioning stock. If your exposure is mainly heat rather than abrasion, compare the long-cuff WG-005/WG-006 or foundry WG-007; for a green version of the reinforced palm, see WG-009.
What is the minimum order for WG-008?
Typical starting point 100–200 pairs per SKU; confirm for quotation.
Is WG-008 certified to EN 12477 or EN 388?
Specify the standards and levels your risk assessment requires in the RFQ, and ask every supplier — True Port Global included — for product-specific evidence (test report, issuing lab, date and marking) for the exact glove being quoted. No blanket certification claim is made for this product.
