Buyer questions

WG-007 — frequently asked questions

What work is WG-007 suited for?

Foundry and casting environments, heavy welding and high-heat handling where sparks, radiant heat and hot surfaces reach well past the wrist. It is the longest, heaviest glove in this welding range — for routine bench welding a standard or 16-inch cuff glove is usually the more practical choice.

How is WG-007 different from the 16-inch long-cuff gloves?

Three things: longer cover (nominal 18-inch-plus versus 16), heavier split leather, and a heat-resistant lining specified for higher-heat work. The trade-off is weight and dexterity, so trial samples against your actual tasks before committing a full fleet order.

Does WG-007 carry a temperature rating?

No blanket temperature rating is quoted for this product — honest suppliers rate heat performance per test, not per product line. Specify the EN 407 contact-heat and radiant-heat levels your work requires in the RFQ, ask every supplier — True Port Global included — for product-specific evidence, and trial the glove against your real exposure before rollout.

What is the minimum order for WG-007?

Typical starting point 100–200 pairs per SKU; confirm for quotation.
